Domestic Return of Packages in China
1) Explanation of Return Types within China
- Returned items due to third-party logistics provider’s operational failure: Packages rejected by the third-party logistics provider due to damage found during operation; Oversized or overweight packages; Packages that cannot be exported due to incorrect postal codes in the recipient’s address.
- Packages returned due to security check failure: Packages returned by postal or airport security checks.
- Customs inspection returned items: Parcels containing restricted items that have been returned by customs.
2) Logistics Shipping Fee Refund Standard
- Returned items due to failed operations by third-party logistics providers: full refund of shipping fees.
- If a package is returned because it fails to pass security checks (such as postal or aviation security checks), the shipping fee will be fully refunded. For returns that occur after aviation security checks, neither the shipping fee nor the registration fee will be refunded.
- In case goods are confiscated or destroyed due to failure in security inspection or customs clearance, the shipping fee will not be refunded, and no compensation will be provided for the loss of goods.
3) Handling of Returned Items in the Domestic Segment of China
- Returned items due to failed operations by third-party logistics providers: The logistics provider will contact our company offline to arrange for return. The items will be returned to our company through the pick-up driver, domestic express delivery, or other logistics methods. The shipping fee paid by the customer will be fully refunded to the 1688order account balance. If the logistics provider incurs return fees, the customer will need to bear them.
- Air security inspection returned items: The logistics provider will contact our company offline and return the items to our company through the pick-up driver, domestic express delivery, or other logistics methods. The shipping fee paid by the customer will be fully refunded to the 1688 order account balance. If the logistics provider incurs return fees, the customer will need to bear them.
- Customs inspection returned items: Returned to our company by the pick-up driver, domestic express delivery, or other logistics methods. 4) Commonly returned items due to security checks or customs inspections
1) Hazardous and dangerous goods as stipulated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), relevant laws and regulations, government departments or organizations, goods prohibited from import by the laws and regulations of the destination country, and goods subject to embargo or restricted transport. 2) The following are the restricted items commonly returned by security checks or customs, as compiled by third-party logistics providers. If your package containing the following items is returned, you may mix other ordinary items (such as unbranded clothing) with your restricted items according to your shipping restrictions, or ship the restricted items separately, or choose other shipping channels to attempt delivery. However, there is still a small probability that the items may be detected again by customs, resulting in return, fine, destruction, or confiscation, and you will need to bear the losses incurred thereby on your own.

The revised “List of Articles Prohibited from Importation and Exportation of the People’s Republic of China” and “List of Articles Restricted from Importation and Exportation of the People’s Republic of China” are hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of March 1, 1993. The “Announcement of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China on Promulgating the Lists of Articles Prohibited and Restricted from Importation and Exportation” promulgated by this Administration on November 1, 1987 shall be repealed simultaneously.
List of Articles Prohibited from Import and Export by the People’s Republic of China
I. Prohibited Articles for Entry
- Various weapons, simulated weapons, ammunition, and explosive items;
- Counterfeit currency and counterfeit securities;
- Printed matter, films, photographs, records, movies, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media, and other items that are harmful to China’s politics, economy, culture, and morality;
- Various highly toxic poisons;
- Opium, , , , and other addictive narcotics and psychotropic substances;
- Animals, plants, and their products carrying dangerous germs, pests, and other harmful organisms;
- Foods, drugs, or other items that are harmful to human and animal health, originate from epidemic areas, or can otherwise spread diseases.
II. Items Prohibited from Leaving the Country
- All items included in the scope of prohibited entry;
- Manuscripts, printed materials, films, photographs, records, movies, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media, and other items whose content involves state secrets;
- Precious cultural relics and other cultural items prohibited from leaving the country;
- Endangered and precious animals, plants (including specimens), their seeds, and propagation materials.

International Cross-Border Returned Packages
If your package has been shipped abroad and is returned due to reasons such as “failed international security check”, “no one to sign for”, “unknown address”, “undelivered”, etc., you will be responsible for the shipping fee for resending it.
